Some Time Away Some hours take forever some take days Sometimes we are together sometime away You give I am Receiving- I give away What you kept me believing – that I would stay Your foresight not misleading- you knew the cost I’m running you’re still bleeding- Who’s at a loss I’m tired of retreating- I’m tired of games My will is old and beaten- yours just the same Might we forget forever- Live in the day I’ll forsake all but never- Trade you away Trade you away Some hours take forever some take days Sometimes we are together sometime away

Some Things Never Change Air raid sirens stir my sleep, My eyes upon the sun Hungry mouths to feed today, and my work has just begun The sweetest winds they once blew across an angry sea I miss the coast that means the most and I miss my family My oh my we married young And stayed beneath where we came from My oh my we weren’t so strange Funny some things never change In the city, sunset’s light has opened up my eyes I’ve learned to dance and love romance and gamble for my life I’ve filled my pockets full of dust and a simple serenade Funny how we’ve come so far yet some things never change

Missed a page Of all I lost and all that I’ve gained…. I miss myself the most…. I’m just living with my insides as I tangle with the ghost I’m digging through this garbage that crowds my busy mind Now I’m missing all the pages and catching up on time I wish I’d made the perfect list Of what’s become and what I’ve missed I wish I’d danced the perfect dance But I missed a page and missed my chance All I see is myself and I’m on shaky ground I haven’t lost the sightlines, yet I haven’t heard a sound I haven’t felt the need to breath in about one hundred days So I grabbed the boat to nowhere and skipped the final page

Have you ever been to New Orleans? Think you have but you've never seen Say you live in a halfway town Where there’s no one left but you around I think it’s time to waste your time To waste your time away I think it’s time to say it’s mine And spend another day I think what you came here for You came to save your soul Instead you found your new best friend And you lost all your control Thought you knew that you'd come back But you don’t know my ways Thought you choose the lesser run In hopes the journey pays Thought you heard that little voice That hides inside your head All you heard was the preacher’s words So you live your life instead

Choice 02:47
Sitting down here trying to pass the time Looking at pictures in the book of my mind Silent movies and whispering tales Telling the story of the truth unveiled I can’t make you make your choice In what is right I have no voice A simple prize, a point of view Deep inside what’s right for you Snakes and ladders are your ups and downs You’re trying to find me but I can’t be found Your little space your walls are closing in The time is right so why don’t we begin

That's Me 04:28
Man we had some good times Doing lines off the bar My old man up and left me Frozen time in a jar He’s just a bag of broken bones And it suits me just fine anyway So now I’m telling stories about the good ol’ days We were carefree and careless in love But I don’t feel the same way When push comes to shove Sometimes I wonder if This life’s too intolerable And like all good things in time We are replaceable Older and I’m wiser- maybe, I’m not sure Standing on a corner looking for more Like pictures in my mind So many memories Still around to remember the good times Of a lifetime…that’s me

Birdsong 02:33
Love’s what keeps us both alive, free to come and go You say our souls are too contrived and sinking ever slow I say our souls are bound for something bigger than the plan As we float a top this tiny world with harmony in our hands The Blackbird’s bigger than you and me The blackbird’s lived reality The blackbird sleeps the day away The blackbird’s faced the world today Well I learned to soar like never before when time was all that stood A bird in flight had said goodnight and harbored all he could Love’s what keeps us both alive, free to pick and choose The only loss we’ll ever face is the one we’ll never lose

What You Need Smile of a flower girl Wave of a frowning clown Dreams and emotions- Being swept up by the clouds Time and relations- are easy to find Searching your headspace Just hoping that you’ll find What you need So long for goodbyes The days are getting long Seeming to try some Just staring at the lawn Too much too wonder It always gets you down Looking for answers Just hoping that you’ll find What you need

To Be Loved 03:34
You don’t know how it feels You don’t care what is real You hide away the things you fear Landing your plane without gear Time fades away- it passes on by To know how it feels to be loved In a while you’ll be the same Cause I know what it means to be loved You don’t know what it’s like Living your life in time Soon you will know what is right Losing the will without a fight

Somewhere 03:10
Can you reach me dare I wonder Somewhere over somewhere under Can you hear me ,should I know Somewhere’s too far to go Threatened in to understanding I’ll soon be understood I’ll take my time to state my case The way I wish you would For every bottle upon the wall I’ll kindly state my name I’ll wear my heart upon my sleeve And put my mind to shame CH Over time , I’ve been overjoyed At the lack of sights and sounds I’ve built myself from top to bottom And I’ve stood on softer ground Those in front will move about And surely they’ll move me But I am moving on To peg my destiny
